Happy with my design work and 3d printed models. have started to think about making modular builds; the cooling tower can be given extra details with the bottom and mid base sections. The bottom base plate is nicely detailed with hex tile features for a sci-fi look; it could be used on its own as a general marker or landing pad - lots of options. The mid-section could be used as a small building with heli-pad roof or such. The models printed very well and look good I think. |

6mm Game scale Sci-Fi buildings and vehicles produced on the B9Creator in B9 Red resin and Maker Juice G+ (with a little Red mixed in). Factory 42 yet to be built. Ideal for Battletech.
Managed to get the Longbow build on the go again after struggling to get the hips to build when using B9 Red Resin. I am using a mix of Maker Juice G+ with a splash of B9 Red. I have read the Maker Juice can be aggressive to the PDMS layer in the vat and that is not such a good lubricant for the sweeper blade. I will see how the machine gets on with the Maker Juice and gradually work towards neat Maker Juice.
I have set up some model parts on Shapeways.
The larger parts seem a bit pricey but smaller stuff seems reasonable. A shield or power generator. Modelled on a 3 hex tile, the tiles are lipped. The model is produced on 32mm and 25mm hex's to suit different tables. These are available on Shapeways https://www.shapeways.com/designer/Scale_Stuff_Models The Drawing can be down loaded here - below ![]()
